Sales Support Specialist

Job Purpose:

The sales support specialist will be responsible to address the growing demand of the Cables and accessories business and to participate in the analysis and preparation of technical and commercial offers.


Key Accountabilities:

  • Support sales representatives to increase their productivity and to have more time for the sales operations.
  • Supporting in getting approvals for our products from the utilities or any other entity.
  • Manage & guide the back-office team in the daily tasks (handling inquiries, offers preparation)
  • Work on preparing countries ‘s price list and manage the stock
  • Follow up on orders & delivery dates and to make sure that sales representatives have available quantities of sales support material such as product brochures.
  • Review orders when received to make sure that prices, payment terms, conditions, required delivery, items description etc… are correct and related to pre-offer, and directly contact the customers to solve any problems.
  • Upload the orders on the intranet (Company internal network) and make sure from orders accuracy and that they are processed on time with the different department till it reach planning department and get a delivery date, to be communicated with the client.
  • Communicate with customer to inform them in case if any delays and discuss alternative solution and availability for delivery (If needed).
  • Update the sales records on weekly basis and report it to the manager.
  • Responsible to gather all supporting documents (such as Technical offer, Certificates etc…) to be submitted with the offer.
  • Respond to complaints from customers and give after-sales support when requested
  • Carry out any other tasks assigned to him

Qualification & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management or a relevant discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial functions for our business segments.
  • Basic Technical experience in electrical products, services & solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent listening and negotiating abilities combined with the aptitude to run high value sales strategies
  • Excellent organizations skills
  • Good in Microsoft Office suite, ERP/CRM related tool is a plus

Technical competencies:

  • Understanding of the entire Sales lifecycle, including opportunity identification, capture management, technical solution design, proposal writing, costing, applicable regulations and closing deals.
  • Ability to provide technical data built around specific customer or project requirements to adapt required technical solutions into existing or new products and generate correct product specification.
  • Ability to analyze customers’ technical specifications.
  • Technical and business acumen.
  • Prospecting and sales call management.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and utilize market data regarding competitive products, customer needs, preferences and market trends.
