in charge of managing the monthly review of all prime contracts payment application, certification and invoicing related to Architectural/civil/Electrical and mechanical engineering and building projects from the first calculations to the final numbers. Quantity surveyors are tasked with complete compliance with the payment terms incorporated in the prime contracts, achieving the planned cash flow and the overall cost of a project thus ensuring value for money. However, he must also adhere to clearly defined standards and quality which are specified by prime contracts. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: -

•  The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for accurately review the measuring and pricing using Contract drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
•  Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements. 
•  Advice on Contractor’s resource allocation.
•  Audit payments to Subcontractors. 
•  Ensure prompt submittal and completeness of valuations.
•  Check and record measure of work done. 
•  Prepare variations and day-works. 
•  Monitor contracts final cost estimate. 
•  Review, negotiate and prepare claim settlements.
•   Coordinate and monitor activities of his team.
•   Prepare financial statements for monthly report.
•   Perform other duties associated with this position as may be appropriate.
