Role Purpose

The Pricing Specialist at Vodafone is responsible for developing and implementing competitive pricing strategies that maximize profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. This role involves analyzing market trends, evaluating competitive pricing, and working closely with various departments to ensure that Vodafone's pricing structures align with business objectives and market conditions.

Role Profile

•    Market Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market analysis to identify pricing opportunities and threats.
•    Pricing Strategy Development: Develop and implement pricing strategies for products and services that align with Vodafone's business goals.
•    Competitive Benchmarking: Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to ensure Vodafone remains competitive.
•    Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, finance, and product teams to develop and execute pricing strategies.
•    Pricing Reviews: Regularly review and adjust pricing models based on market conditions, cost structures, and business objectives.
•    Pricing Implementation: Ensure accurate and timely implementation of pricing changes across all channels.

Competencies and Qualifications

•    Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional qualification in a related discipline is a plus.
•    Experience: 3-5 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or a related field within the telecommunications or a similar industry.
•    Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau) and pricing software.
•    Other Requirements: Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, Communication and presentation skills.
•    Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex data and market trends to inform pricing strategies.
•    Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of commercial principles and business acumen.
•    Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring pricing accuracy and consistency.
•    Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting findings.
•    Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving pricing-related issues.
•    Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
•    Technological Proficiency: Proficient in using data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
