- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and adherence to schedule.
- Monitor production processes and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production activities.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and eliminate waste in production processes.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to develop quality improvement plans.
- Coordinate with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or unforeseen production issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of production workers, supervisors and technicians.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
- Utilize data to drive decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a production or manufacturing engineering role.Proven experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and tools.Proficiency in AutoCAD for production layout and design.Experience with production planning software and ERP systems.Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
