Purchasing Manager

  • Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
  • Control purchasing department budgets.
  • Develop cost reduction strategies and savings plans.
  • Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand.
  • Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers.
  • Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.

BS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration.10+ years of experience in purchasing management (local and Foreign Purchasing) in manufacturing industries. Excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills.Strong leadership and decision-making capabilitiesExpert in Strategic Sourcing.
