Sales & Marketing Executive

Job Purpose:

The Sales & Marketing Executive is responsible for maintaining and expanding the client base in the Port Terminal Services. This role involves promoting the company’s services, ensuring client satisfaction, identifying new market opportunities, and driving the marketing strategies to attract new clients and introduce new products to the market.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

      1.    Client Relationship Management:

      •     Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients in the port terminal services sector.

      •     Regularly communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

      •     Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, issues, and service requirements.

      •     Conduct regular client visits and meetings to assess service performance and identify areas for improvement.

      2.    New Business Development:

      •     Identify and target potential clients in the grains & oilseeds sectors and new sectors.

      •     Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and secure contracts.

      •     Explore and promote new services or products that align with the company’s capabilities and market demand.

      •     Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts to prospective clients.

      3.    Market Research & Analysis:

      •     Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential challenges in the port terminal services industry.

      •     Analyze competitors and market conditions to refine the company’s service offerings and marketing strategies.

      •     Monitor market trends to identify new business opportunities and product innovations.

      4.    Marketing Strategy & Execution:

      •     Develop and execute marketing campaigns to promote the company’s stevedoring services and new products.

      •     Create and manage digital marketing strategies, including social media, website content, and email campaigns.

      •     Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company’s brand.

      •     Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, presentations, and advertisements.

      5.    Sales Management:

      •     Achieve sales targets and goals as set by the company.

      •     Track sales performance and provide regular reports to management on progress and areas for improvement.

      •     Manage the sales pipeline and CRM to ensure accurate tracking of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.

      6.    Cross-functional Collaboration:

      •     Work closely with the operations and logistics teams to ensure smooth service delivery to clients.

      •     Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate billing and resolve any payment-related issues.

      •     Coordinate with the product development team to provide client feedback and insights for product enhancements.

      7.    Client Education & Training:

      •     Educate clients on new services and products offered by the company.

      •     Provide training or demonstrations to clients as needed to help them understand the benefits and usage of new offerings.

      8.    Reporting & Documentation:

      •     Prepare regular reports on sales performance, client feedback, and market trends.

      •     Maintain accurate records of client interactions, contracts, and agreements.

      •     Report on marketing campaign results and provide recommendations for improvements.

      9.    Compliance & Risk Management:

      •     Ensure that all sales and marketing activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.

      •     Identify and mitigate risks related to client contracts and service delivery.


Qualifications & Skills:      •     Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.      •     Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the stevedoring, logistics, grains industry, or port terminal services.      •     Strong understanding of the port terminal services process.      •     Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.      •     Ability to analyze market data and trends to drive business decisions.      •     Proficiency in CRM software and marketing tools.      •     Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. Working Conditions:       •     Full-time position with regular travel to client sites, trade shows, and industry events.      •     Flexible working hours may be required to meet client needs and deadlines.
