Job Summary:

AMK Company is seeking an experienced and strategic Transportation Planning Manager to lead the development and optimization of our public transportation systems. This role involves analyzing data, planning strategically, coordinating with technical teams, and overseeing the implementation of complex transportation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation planning, spatial analysis, and GIS, and be capable of leading projects from conception through to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis and Information Gathering:
• Collect and analyze data related to population distribution, traffic flow, and transportation patterns.
• Evaluate the existing infrastructure of roads and public transportation systems.
• Strategic Planning:
• Develop strategies for enhancing and expanding the public transportation network, including station placement and route planning.
• Set future goals and ensure that all initiatives align with these objectives.
• Transportation Needs Assessment:
• Analyze and understand the transportation needs of local communities and urban areas to provide suitable solutions.
• Estimate current and future demand for public transportation services.
• Technical Team Coordination:
• Collaborate with software development teams to ensure the transportation plans are effectively translated into functional software systems.
• Ensure that software solutions meet operational requirements and data needs.
• Project Management:
• Lead projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budget management.
• Coordinate with stakeholders such as government agencies, local authorities, and end-users to ensure successful system implementation.
• Evaluation and Monitoring:
• Monitor system performance post-implementation and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare regular reports for senior management on project progress and impact.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field; a master’s degree is required.

·       Proven experience in transportation planning, with a focus on public transportation systems.

·       Strong knowledge of GIS and spatial analysis tools.

·       Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.

·       Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

·       Must be registered as a Consultant (مقيد استشاري).
