This is a newly created role for an Accounts Payable Transformation Lead to work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to provide strategic direction and vision for the Accounts Payable function.

The Accounts Payable Transformation Lead will identify and drive strategic process changes and best practice strategic initiatives within the Accounts Payable to transform the Accounts Payable to the strategic vision

Your part in our UnitingCare team

• Develop strategic vision for Accounts Payable (‘AP’) function.
• Develop strategic initiatives and projects required to deliver the AP strategy.
• Manage service delivery for Accounts Payable, ensuring that applicable governance, compliance, policies, and procedures are followed.
• Establish priorities for strategic initiatives and projects.
• With the Accounts Payable Manager, develop and embed policies to support the AP strategic direction and transformation.
• Ensure risk management and governance is embedded in strategic projects and initiatives.
• Establish Service Level Agreements and KPIs to support AP transformation.
• Drive the delivery of Accounts Payable strategic initiatives and projects, including leading Purchase to Pay transformation projects.
• Cross-collaborate with other teams to enable the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and projects, including Xero.
• Provide regular reporting and status updates of strategic initiatives and projects.
• Develop a prioritisation framework and embed in ways of working.
• AP Transformation lead on system implementations and enhancements.
• Reengineer key financial processes to align with AP transformation, addressing gaps and establishing best practice for the AP function.

What makes a difference for us?

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or related discipline.
• Significant experience as a Finance, Transactional or Shared Services Manager having led large teams in a multi-entity environment.
• Detailed understanding and management of the AP function and end to end P2P processes, with a deep understanding of upstream business and downstream finance activity as well as digital account payable transformation.
• In depth P2P system knowledge of AP and procurement modules including but not limited to purchase orders, invoices, credit notes, payment processing and vendor master data, and understanding of related configurations such as tolerance limits, payment types and tax codes.
• Experience with P2P system implementations, Coupa experience will be highly regarded, large-scale P2P transformation programs and continuous improvement efforts including automation experience.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, natural leadership skills and customer relationship skills.
• Demonstrated change management experience where you have led significant process improvements and initiatives.
• Technically savvy with strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to work with data, and possesses intermediate to advanced experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to research, investigate, analyse and provide practical solutions to AP issues
