Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained, and best use is made of teaching time.
- Use teaching methods which keep people engaged, including stimulating intellectual curiosity, effective questioning and response, clear presentation and good use of resources.
- Set high expectations for pupil behaviour, establishing and maintaining a good standard of discipline through well-focused teaching and through positive and productive relationships.
- Ensure the methodology and requirements of the English National Curriculum (ENC), are employed at all times.
- Keep displays inside and outside the classroom up to date.
- Supervise the pupils assigned to them at all times.
