Responsibilities

- Prepares working / Fabrication GA’s and Shop Drawing from rough or 

detailed, sketches and notes, for engineering purposes according to 

dimensional, specifications with direct supervision.

Uses drafting techniques in producing shop drawings including member

 detailing, connection detailing, and preparation of MTO.

Qualifications

 Diploma/Draftsman Course in Mechanical Engineering.

· Knowledge of detailing of Process equipment; knowledge of detailing standards and references and good practice in detailing.

· Capable of preparing General arrangement drawings from designer’s sketches, specifications, standard practices, and manuals.

· Conversant with drafting techniques in producing shop drawings and preparation of MTO.

Exposure to drawing process, checking process, correcting process, and revising process in Storage tank drafting.

· Knowledge of various symbols used in Process equipment drafting and their meanings.

· Knowledge of various structural steel sections.

·Thorough knowledge of surface development and nozzle connection supports.

· Capable of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Equipment. 3-D modeling is desirable.

· Knowledge of AutoCAD detailing desirable.

· Capable of distinguishing the difference between engineering drawings and shop drawings.

· Learning and result oriented.

· Accuracy and attention to detail.

· Interpersonal skills and Industry knowledge.

➢ Experience: -

. Minimum 5 years of experience of which 2-3 years in detailing pressure vessels and tanks, heat exchangers, reactors, drums, and piping, and 1-2 years of AutoCAD experience highly beneficial.
