Key Responsibilities:
• Research and identify potential vendors for construction materials, equipment, and services based on project requirements and specifications.
• Evaluate vendor qualifications, pricing proposals, and track records to select the most reliable and cost-effective options.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, fostering long-term partnerships and securing favorable terms.
• Issue purchase orders, negotiate contract terms, and manage vendor relationships throughout the procurement process.
• Ensure clear and concise communication of project requirements and delivery expectations to vendors.
• Monitor contract execution, track delivery schedules, and address any discrepancies or delays promptly.
• Negotiate competitive pricing with vendors to secure the best possible value for the company.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing or bulk purchase agreements.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure efficient material requisition and avoid unnecessary expenditures.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 1-3 years of experience in construction procurement or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and industry standards.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to secure favorable deals with vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify cost-saving opportunities and resolve procurement challenges.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
