Job Summary:
The Export Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s export operations. This role involves developing and implementing strategies to expand the company’s international market presence, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, and managing relationships with foreign clients and partners. The Export Manager will work closely with other departments, including logistics, sales, and finance, to drive export growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Export Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement export strategies to achieve sales targets and expand into new markets.
- Identify new business opportunities and potential markets for the company's products and services.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure all export activities comply with local, national, and international trade regulations and standards.
- Stay updated on changes in trade laws and regulations affecting exports.
Client and Partner Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international clients, distributors, and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with foreign clients to secure favorable agreements.
Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee the logistics and shipping processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other service providers.
Sales and Marketing Support:
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute international marketing strategies.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to adjust strategies as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and manage all export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
- Monitor and report on export performance metrics and provide insights for improvement.
Problem Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues related to export operations, including disputes and shipment delays.
- Provide support for problem-solving and decision-making in export-related matters.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Export Specialist) is a plus.Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in export management or a similar role.
