Production Engineer

Design and Analysis:

  • Develop detailed designs using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.).
  • Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) using tools such as ANSYS or Abaqus to validate designs under real-world conditions.
  • Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.

Reverse Engineering:

  • Disassemble existing machines or equipment to analyze components and systems.
  • Document and catalog parts, materials, and processes used in the original design.
  • Redesign and improve upon existing systems for better performance and efficiency.

Prototyping and Testing:

  • Build and test prototypes to validate design changes.
  • Conduct stress tests, performance evaluations, and failure analysis to ensure product reliability.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Project Management:

  • Manage the mechanical aspects of projects from concept through production, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
  • Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, assembly instructions, and maintenance guides.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve design processes and product offerings.
  • Identify opportunities for design and process improvements, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Education:Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.Experience:3-7 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis, preferably in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace industries.Proven experience with reverse engineering projects is highly desirable.Technical Skills:Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc.).Strong knowledge of FEA tools like ANSYS or Abaqus.Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, casting, and welding.Understanding of material science, including metals, polymers, and composites.Soft Skills:Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
