We are looking for a motivated Technical Office Engineer to join our team in Masr El Gedida, Cairo. In this role, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of aluminum detailing projects, from shop drawings and design to technical proposals and project completion.
Responsibilities:
- Develop shop drawings and designs, cutting lists, and surveys of raw materials for aluminum work, including curtain walls.
- Prepare shop drawings for production processes and cutting lists for fabrication.
- Create detailed shop drawings for aluminum facade and glazing works.
- Generate shop drawings for aluminum profiles (cladding and curtain walls).
- Provide technical expertise and guidance in aluminum detailing, encompassing façade systems, curtain walls, windows, and structural components.
- Prepare production casting and technical proposals by reviewing tender documents/drawings and crafting technical offers.
- Issue and process requisitions for quotations to subcontractors/suppliers.
- Solve unexpected technical difficulties and address any problems that may arise during the project.
- Prepare and finalize all required documents, approvals, and tests by project consultants.
- Study project drawings, specifications, and related documents.
- Coordinate with procurement and manufacturing teams to source materials and components necessary for aluminum detailing projects.
- Conduct complete quantity take-off, analysis, estimates, and studies for all deliverables within the assigned scope.
- Collaborate with operations staff and other estimators to guarantee accurate capture of General Conditions and Requirement items in the estimate.
- Evaluate subcontractor proposals to ensure scope coverage and manage risks associated with scope gaps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the curtain wall field, cladding, aluminum facade engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of aluminum materials, fabrication techniques, and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) for creating schedules and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and a fast worker with the ability to manage time effectively and work well under pressure.
- Very good level of written and spoken English.
