• Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance.
• Maintaining all machinery to ensure it’s at working standards.
• Creating and implementing maintenance procedures.
• Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.
• Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.
• Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
• Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.
• Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.
• Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.
• Scheduling and overseeing all maintenance-related work by managing a team of maintenance Engineers, Supervisors and technicians and directs daily operations of the department to ensure hospital maintenance needs are efficiently and effectively met for optimum patient safety and comfort.
• Plan and coordinate all maintenance activities in the facilities including analyzing equipment needs, reliability issues, developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
• Develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively.
• Coordinates maintenance projects, acting as liaison between Administration and contractors in minor projects and as a member of the Project Team in major projects.
• Actively monitors budget and evaluates expenditures on a regular basis. Initiates recommendations to ensure department is operating within budget.
• Prepare work schedules and workload statistics; maintain an appropriate staffing level to ensure that the service and responsibilities of the department are provided in a timely and quality manner.
• Keeps updated with technology changes and updates in in order to improve operations and maintenance processes.
• Actively seeks ways to control costs without compromising safety, quality of care or services delivered.
• Making sure to fulfill customer satisfaction for current SLA contracts.
• Making sure regarding proper reporting and granting minimum resolution time.
• Following up defected materials and servicing them as needed.
