· Doing clinical and environmental daily rounds, respond to consultations, provide education and training.
· Conduct surveillance activity& follow the patients under surveillance from admission to discharge.
· Doing laboratory rounds to collect positive microbiology and serology results, discuss the results with the attending physician or his resident, and may advice isolation.
· Make audits and write MEMO on infection control performance and violations in both patient and non-patient care areas.
· Provides orientation and education about infection prevention and control.
Conducts epidemiological surveillance programs in departments and areas related to patient care –activities and investigates clusters / epidemics of infections.
. Helps to develop infection control policies and procedures in collaboration with hospital departments.
. Provides professional consultation and assistance in infection control to the medical staff and the non-medical staff.
. Participates in developing and implementing policies relating to employee health.
. Performs related duties as assigned by the infection control committee
· Minimum 1 year experience in Infection Control. Healthcare background is a must as ( Physician , Dentist or pharmacist )
