EMAK Contracting company is seeking to hire an Experienced International Procurement Engineer to handle the below responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, bills of quantities, and material takeoffs to forecast procurement needs
- Collaborate with project teams to prioritize and schedule procurement activities
- Coordinate logistics, transportation, and customs clearance for international shipments
- Research and identify qualified international suppliers and vendors
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, quality, delivery, and pricing to select the most suitable options
- Maintain a database of approved suppliers and continuously assess their performance
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
- Negotiate favorable pricing, payment terms, and warranties with suppliers
- Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Maintain accurate records of procurement expenditures and prepare reports
- Manage the receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution of procured materials and equipment
- Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements
- Maintain comprehensive procurement documentation, records, and reports
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical), Supply Chain Management, or a related field5-10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain in the construction or industrial sectorsKnowledge in applications for opening letters of credit (L/C)Proficiency in MS Office and Engineering programsExcellent English language both written and verbal
