IT Specialist

  1. Technical Support: Providing technical assistance and support to end-users, either remotely or on-site, to resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues, and Managing Google accounts on the company phones. This involves troubleshooting problems, identifying solutions, and ensuring timely resolution.
  2. System Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and updating computer systems, software applications, and network equipment. This includes performing regular maintenance tasks, such as system backups, software patches, and hardware upgrades.
  3. Assist in Network Administration: Administering and maintaining computer networks, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), virtual private networks (VPN), and wireless networks. This involves configuring network devices, managing network security, and monitoring network performance.
  4. Assist in Implementing and enforcing security measures to protect the organization's data, systems, and networks from cyber threats. This includes managing firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, and conducting security audits.
  5. User Training and Documentation: Conducting training sessions to educate employees on using software applications, operating systems, and IT tools effectively. Creating user documentation, such as user manuals and knowledge base articles, to provide self-help resources for end-users.
  6. Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Analyzing and diagnosing technical issues, identifying root causes, and developing solutions. This requires a strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work under pressure to resolve issues promptly.
  7. IT Asset Management: Managing IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals. This involves inventory management, tracking asset lifecycles, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
  8. System Monitoring and Performance Optimization: Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing system configurations to ensure efficient and reliable operation. This may involve monitoring server health, network bandwidth utilization, and application performance.
