Role Purpose:
The core purpose of the role is to provide strategic advice and stewardship across the CBU & Wholesale leadership team on all financial matters highlighting areas of risk and co-creating mitigation opportunities. The encumbered is also responsible for driving business performance, and aligning current actions with medium and long term implications. To ensure that key business objectives of the functions are met through providing strategic and operational financial leadership and partnering with business to ensure effective decision making, informed by financial insights and business intelligence. To enhance value creation and deliver the highest quality Profit and Loss planning and management.
Job Objectives:
o Responsible for leading Vodafone Egypt Decision Support for Consumer and Wholesale Business units - providing finance business partnering & financial evaluation for commercial offerings, new tariffs, new product launch and long-term deals.
o Lead Business cases process, validate assumptions and providing recommendations to the management to empower the decision making for commercial offers and investment proposals.
o Supports the preparation of business cases, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring it’s all based on sound business assumptions, current & new initiatives are in line with company strategy and generate adequate financial return
o Evaluate & monitor the impact of new initiatives and market developments and implement measures to reduce risks and optimise performance
o Conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) to measure achievement of projects compared to the business plans and suggest recommendations
o Support the leadership team in identifying optimal resource allocation to maximise value generation and unlock cost efficiencies.
o Provide detailed financial and customer analytical reports to support key insights for different business needs, analysis, mitigating risks and identifying opportunities.
o Provide strategic advice and stewardship across the leadership team on all financial matters
o highlighting areas of risk and implementation of measures & relevant financial controls to enable risk mitigation.
o Full ownership, together with the leadership team, of delivering against the performance ambition, maximising returns and delivering against the LRP ( long range plan)
o Maintain integrity of financial and non-financial data, financial processes, procedures, and financial controls in line with established accounting processes and regulations– partner with Finance Operations in execution and implementation of financial processes and controls to ensure best practice is applied and maintained
o Support internal and external audit activities
o Manage and lead the financial planning and analysis and preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual management accounts, standardised KPIs, results interpretation and recommendations, budget cycles, forecast cycles and Long Range Plan in line with strategic objectives.
o Ensure synchronisation of BUs plans with Long Range Plan (LRP) and Annual Budget/Forecasts
o Deliver Long Range Plan and Annual Budget/Forecasts with detailed financial modelling capturing key drivers and the business model including identifying risk and opportunities.
o Finance Lead for Vodafone Egypt strategic subsidiaries, responsible for the full integration, performance management, governance and target setting.
o Partner with Data & Analytics to deliver detailed product level analysis with key KPIs monitored and tracked to gain insights into performance and identify opportunities
o Define and improve financial processes continually striving for simplicity and best practice.

o Lead, motivate and develop Commercial teams, ensuring they have clarity of direction and support in prioritising demands.
o Build a diverse and effective team through recruitment, development and coaching of commercial professionals within divisions and regions.
o Role model the competencies and behaviours required to deliver value-added decision support
o Manage team performance through continuous assessment of skills and capability and addressing performance issues of team members where appropriate. Coach, develop and performance manage people and identify key talent.

Skills Required:
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
o Excellent understanding of the Telecoms industry and key value drivers within the industry and market.
o Commercial Acumen: The ability to drive value through commercial knowledge, insights and the understanding of the impact of decisions on the business, both short and long term impacts
o Decision making support: The ability to understand the full value chain, distinct analytical and systematic thinking and the ability to execute on the strategic plan.
o Financial Analysis: The ability to create insightful causal tracks, performing comprehensive analysis that distils key points and clearly articulates “what the numbers are saying”.
o Financial forecasting and budgeting.
o Communication: Ability to communicate with clarity and impact, complex commercial concepts and their impacts and dependencies comprehensively at Executive Management Level.
o Ability to engage with top management to address complex problems and to implement end-to-end process and system solutions.
o Leadership: Strong personal impact, top percentile people leader results and ability to present to senior leaders (CEOs, Commercial Directors, Industry leaders, Boards, Regulatory bodies etc)
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
o Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting degree.
o 10 years+ financial management experience mainly in financial analysis, budgeting and business planning Telecom
o CMA, CPA, CFA, MBA is a plus
