Quality Control Specialist

Job Summary:
The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating operational processes, products, and services to ensure compliance with established quality standards. This role plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the reputation of the establishment by delivering exceptional quality experiences to guests.

Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control Processes:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive quality control processes and procedures to ensure adherence to established quality standards throughout the hospitality establishment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define quality metrics, benchmarks, and performance indicators.
  • Continuously review and enhance quality control processes based on industry trends and best practices.
  • Create a checklist for each process/product to measure the degree of implementation and compliance of SOPs/blueprints.
  • Create a monthly plan for unit audits and get it approved by the quality management head.

Product and Service Inspections:

  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of products, services, and operational processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and guest expectations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of guest rooms, amenities, food and beverage offerings, cleanliness, and overall guest experience.
  • Identify deviations from quality standards and provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Inspect pre-operational units and make sure they meet Lemon Spaces standards before they go live.
  • Inspect potential units and create an inspection report of the condition and action plan for the involved parties.

Compliance Monitoring:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and brand guidelines.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to verify compliance across various departments, including food safety, sanitation, housekeeping, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with department heads and employees to address non-compliance issues promptly and effectively.
  • Follow up on the corrective action plan with the issued department's head and report to the quality head for any delay in the plan.
  • Escalate major defects that preventing unit from reaching Lemon Spaces standard, through quality department head to top management for needful action.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality-related data, including guest feedback, inspections, audits, and performance metrics.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement based on data analysis.
  • Prepare regular reports on quality control performance, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

Supplier and Vendor Management:

  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of suppliers and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to establish quality requirements for suppliers and conduct regular quality assessments.
  • Address quality-related issues with suppliers and vendors promptly to maintain quality standards.

Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).2-3 proven experience in quality control or a similar role within the hospitality industry.Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and best practices.Be part of the new product/item approval team before adding it to Lemon Spaces operations.Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data and identify trends.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.Ability to train, coach, and motivate employees to adhere to quality standards.Proficiency in using quality management software and systems.Solid understanding of guest service principles and customer satisfaction measurement.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
