- Develop detailed designs of farm equipment components and systems using SolidWorks.
- Create innovative solutions to meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.
- Collaborate with product managers, manufacturing engineers, and other stakeholders to define design requirements and specifications.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and other simulations to assess the structural integrity and performance of designs.
- Conduct computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis to optimize the aerodynamic and hydrodynamic performance of equipment.
- Analyze data from physical tests and simulations to validate and refine designs.
- Oversee the fabrication and assembly of prototypes.
- Contribute to test plans to evaluate the performance and durability of prototypes.
- Analyze test results and recommend design modifications to improve performance and reliability.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of design and analysis activities.
- Maintain accurate records of design iterations, analysis results, and test data.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and analysis engineering, preferably in the agricultural or heavy equipment industry.Technical Skills:Proficiency in SolidWorks.Expertise in FEA and CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, COMSOL).Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, material properties, and manufacturing processes.Entry level experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
