Pricing Manager

Role Title:Pricing Manager

Role Purpose: Lead the country in maximizing EBIT delivery from the implementation of strategic pricing programs. Adhere to the general global guidelines, regional business objectives, market conditions and performance targets; Lead and develop pricing resources across the region in order to successfully achieve commercial goals.

Develop and deploy best in class business support solutions including but not limited to the management of Spot Rates, contracts, tariffs, and GRE.

Key activities:

Global pricing:

  • Provide thought leadership & direction in defining, championing and maintaining global / regional competitiveness strategy by product, sector and channel.
  • Provide regular updates on pricing and costing initiatives implementation and performance/results/impacts.
    competitiveness drivers and provide thought leadership to mitigate exposures and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Identify, develop and agree on key directions/ activities to be implemented region-wide.
  • Develop & present clear business cases to demonstrate clarity of impacts, costs and benefits to the business.

Country Senior Management Team:

  • Provide input to Country SMT for establishing pricing and profitability priorities and business controlling mechanisms.
  • Analyze profitability and cost drivers within the business unit and provide guidance in dealing with weaknesses.
  • Sponsor the provision of standardized pricing models, systems and processes for all countries and assistance in implementing them.
  • Conduct periodic pricing audits to ensure processes, systems and skills are in place to support business needs and regional/global initiatives.
  • Communicate with customers on Spot Rating to understand market dynamics and needs.
  • Participate in customer presentations and on occasion RFQ proposals, ensuring there is a common understanding of service expectations and solutions, both with the customer and DHL.
  • Specify competitive & market data requirements.
  • Authorize acceptance of research and market analysis deliverables.
