We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified Senior Structural Engineer with a PhD in Concrete Design to join our team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and development of complex concrete structures, including high-rise buildings, bridges, and infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of concrete structures, including foundation design, superstructure design, and detailing
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational modeling to verify structural integrity
- Develop and review technical reports, drawings, and specifications
- Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g. architecture, mechanical engineering) to ensure comprehensive project solutions
- Provide expert advice on concrete design and construction methodologies to project stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Requirements:PhD in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering with specialization in Concrete DesignMinimum 20 years of experience in the field of structural engineering, with at least 5 years in concrete designStrong background in concrete design and analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational methodsProficiency in software such as AutoCAD, STAAD, SAP2000, and/or EtabsExcellent knowledge of local building codes and regulations (e.g. Dubai Municipality regulations)Experience working on large-scale projects in the UAE or similar environmentsStrong communication and project management skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience working on high-rise buildings, bridges, or other complex infrastructure projects in DubaiKnowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and/or RevitExperience with construction phase services and site inspections
