Operation Director

  • Job Summary: The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the coffee shop chain to ensure exceptional customer service and maintenance of quality standards. The Operations Manager must work alongside employees in all aspects of the business during the first three months to learn all the details and intricacies to ensure a complete understanding of operations and improvement opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the coffee shops to ensure operational goals are met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve performance and productivity.

Field Work:

  • Work with employees in all roles for the first three months to learn all aspects of daily operations.
  • Participate in preparing and serving beverages and food, cleaning the shop, managing inventory, and customer service to ensure a thorough understanding of the work environment and processes.

Training and Development:

  • Provide ongoing training to employees to enhance their skills and improve service levels.
  • Develop plans for employee growth and ensure they are prepared for higher responsibilities.

Quality Management:

  • Ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance to ensure excellent customer experiences.

Inventory Management:

  • Track inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary materials for uninterrupted operations.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality.

Customer Service:

  • Address and resolve customer complaints effectively and promptly.
  • Foster a culture of excellent customer service within the coffee shops.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly reports on operational performance and sales.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the coffee shop or restaurant industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems efficiently.
  • Good understanding of quality management and food safety principles.
