Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team at Spectrum Engineering, a construction, main contractor. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of accounting experience within the construction industry. Proficiency in English, Microsoft Office, and Comsys is essential. You will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile accounts and manage journal entries.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare and submit tax returns.
- Utilize Comsys software for accounting tasks and financial reporting.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.7 to 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Proficiency in Comsys accounting software.Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
