Introduction:
Luminary is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Lead to head our Engineering department. This key role involves overseeing the development of technical offers, managing Bills of Materials (BOMs), and leading a team of engineers to innovate and design new products. The Engineering Lead will ensure all projects are executed efficiently, meet quality standards, and align with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Oversee the entire Engineering department, managing and mentoring a team of engineers.
- Project Oversight: Ensure all engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet client specifications.
- Technical Offer Creation: Lead the development of detailed technical offers, including technical drawings and product specifications.
- Bills of Materials (BOMs): Supervise the creation and management of BOMs for various projects to ensure accurate cost estimation and procurement processes.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all products and technical documentation meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical support, translate client requirements into technical specifications, and ensure seamless communication between departments.
- Innovation and Design: Drive innovation and continuous improvement in product design and development to meet market demands and enhance product offerings.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all engineering activities comply with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Skills Required:Strong leadership and team management skills.Extensive experience in project management within an engineering context.Proficiency in CAD software for designing and drafting technical drawings.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with other departments and clients.Knowledge of quality assurance processes and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Odoo) and project management tools.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.Minimum 7 years of experience in an engineering role, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from concept to completion.Strong portfolio demonstrating experience in technical offer creation, BOM management, and product design.
