- Management of the packhouse operations including all packhouse and operations.
- Sound leadership and direction in the packhouse ensuring quality product output, accuracy and consistency in pack house processes and documentation.
- Responsibility for overall quality control in the packhouse.
- Providing weekly, monthly and annual reports to the Top management. Keeping all managers and supervisors briefed on performance.
- Building and implementing best practice policies and principles.
- Proper use of facilities.
- Ensuring high standards of Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Budgeting of packhouse costs and monitoring monthly progress against plan.
- Best utilization of raw material and reduction of waste on all lines.
- Liaising with the export manager regarding packhouse hygiene, customer specifications, quality issues and raw material requirements.
- Liaising with the export manager over daily customer volume plans, resource requirements and purchasing of packaging
2 to 5 years’ experience at packing housesFamiliar with GLOBAL G.A.P standardsFamiliar with post harvesting process. Familiar with HACCP and Risk Assessment Scientific Background Inspection Skills Prefer Graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture.
