General Job Purpose: Oversee and manage the mechanical maintenance operations within the factory. Ensure that all mechanical equipment and systems are maintained, repaired, and functioning efficiently to support uninterrupted production. Implement preventive maintenance programs, manage the maintenance team, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:Maintenance Management:Develop and implement comprehensive mechanical maintenance programs.Oversee daily maintenance activities to ensure efficient and timely repairs and maintenance.Schedule and prioritize maintenance tasks to minimize production downtime.Team Supervision:Lead and manage the mechanical maintenance team, including technicians and engineers.Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support.Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development programs.Preventive Maintenance:Establish and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all mechanical equipment.Conduct regular inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history.Troubleshooting and Repair:Diagnose mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.Coordinate and supervise repairs to ensure they are carried out efficiently and to high standards.Collaborate with other departments to address equipment issues and minimize production impact.Inventory Management:Manage inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.Ensure timely procurement of necessary materials and parts to support maintenance activities.Develop relationships with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.Health and Safety:Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the maintenance department.Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and equipment.Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions for the maintenance team.Reporting and Documentation:Prepare and submit regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and key performance indicators.Maintain accurate records of maintenance data, inventory levels, and other important information.Continuous Improvement:Identify areas for improvement in maintenance processes and implement solutions.Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to enhance maintenance operations.Budget Management:Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget.Monitor expenses and ensure cost-effective use of resources.Any Other Duties:Perform any other duties as assigned by the General Manager / Operations Manager within the scope of the job.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in mechanical maintenance management.Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
