Job Scope:

Responsible for managing and controlling the costs and expenses of an organization, ensuring that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively and analyzing cost data, developing budgets, monitoring expenditures, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.

Job Description: 

  • Analyze cost data and trends to identify areas of potential cost savings, cost overruns, or inefficiencies.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for various departments or projects, working closely with department managers to establish realistic spending plans.
  • Monitor and track actual expenditures against budgeted amounts, identifying variances and investigating the reasons behind them.
  • Provide regular reports and analysis on cost performance, highlighting key metrics and trends to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency across the organization through process improvements, vendor negotiations, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Work with project managers to ensure accurate cost allocation and tracking for specific projects or initiatives.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and control measures to minimize inventory holding costs and prevent stock shortages or excess.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud, waste, or misuse of company resources.
  • Participate in the development of pricing strategies for products or services, considering cost structures and competitive market dynamics.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, additional certification such as CMA or CPIM is a plus.Experience (8-12) in cost accounting, financial analysis, or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing, FMCG .Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to management.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in cost calculations and reporting.
