·         is responsible for the safety of guests and employees that are inside the designated swimming areas (beach/pool) during the posted business hours.

·         must be a certified life guard of any of the world life guard associations and of active status.

O    artificial resuscitation (mouth-to-mouth)

O    cardiopulmonary resuscitation (cpr)

·         is responsible for the  safety set-up at the beach/pool which includes:

O    set up of the life saving floatation devices along the shoreline/around the pool.

O    correct flag (colors) must be put up during business hours.

O    rescue surfboard/boat ready on the shoreline.

O    first aid kit at the beach/pool chair/post.

O    posting of business hours.

O    depth of the pool (s).

O    water & air temperatures.

O    wind force/wind speed

·         is responsible for keeping the designated and marked swimming areas free of any engine driven boat or alike, windsurfers or sea bikes (pedalos).

·         is responsible for keeping swimmers / snorkelers out of boat tracks or any other hazardous area.

·         is responsible for responding to any emergency within the hotel / resort swimming area / pool area.

·         is responsible that there is a rescue boat with engine available at all times.

·         is responsible for the logging in and logging out of the windsurfers, sailing boats and number of crew and sea bikes and number of crew. Ensures that these activities are executed in the designated areas.

·         monitors / observes and controls the windsurfers, sailors and sea bikes while out on the sea. Supervise and organizes rescue of windsurfers, sailing boat or sea bikes if needed.

·         is responsible for ensuring that all water sports activities or pool activities are executed according to the security rules.

·         is responsible for a temporary replacement while going to the bathroom and for lunch or breaks etc.

·         performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.

·         to understand and strictly adhere to the rules & regulations established in the employees notes boards and the hotel’s policy on fire, hygiene, health & safety.

·         to ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.

·         to understand and strictly adhere to the hotel’s employee rules & regulations.

·         to report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.

Performs any other duties as assigned to him/her by management.
