· To prepare the payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
· To verify the accuracy of all time clock punches, attendances and overtime calculations.
· To tally and record tip slips for service employees and ensure minimum wage compliance.
· To prepare the Service Charge distribution and to reconcile with the income auditor.
· To ensure proper position categorization of all new hires.
· To maintain a working knowledge of local wage and benefit laws.
· To perform audits of the completed payroll register each pay period.
· To survey salary advances and their return.
· To reconcile the payroll reports for period end entries.
· To perform alternating audits of departmental payroll records.
· To verify that all time clock procedures are properly followed.
· To verify that all computations are calculated accurately.
· To submit results to Department Heads for review.
· To reconcile monthly reports.
· To maintain all necessary analysis pertaining to payroll, including vacation accruals, tip variance, etc.
· Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.
· To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees notes boards and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
· To ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.
· To understand and strictly adhere to the Hotel’s Employee rules & regulations.
· To report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
Performs any other duties as assigned to him/her by management.
