A practical and detail-oriented Electronics/HW Technician is required to join the team, responsible for supporting PCB fabrication and assembly, soldering, troubleshooting and repair, as well as managing lab tools, equipment, and inventory to maintain workshop readiness. Key Tasks / Core Responsibilities: • - Assisting in the fabrication and assembly processes of printed circuit boards (PCBs), including component assembly, soldering, cleaning, and post-assembly inspection. • - Fabricating PCBs manually when needed and performing surface-mount device (SMD) soldering and micro-soldering tasks. • - Troubleshooting and repairing faults using electrical schematics, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging to identify defective circuits and components. • - Executing required testing for electronic boards, verifying supply voltages and signal integrity, with knowledge of various communication protocols such as (SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN). • - Managing lab tools and equipment, ensuring the readiness and availability of tools (oscilloscopes, power supplies, soldering tools, etc.). • - Maintaining accurate inventory of electronic components, consumables, and spare parts, including receiving, coding, and stocktaking. • - Documenting repair reports, fault reports, and test results for electronic boards and used components. • - Following Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection procedures and safety guidelines when handling sensitive devices and lab equipment. • - Ability to design simple electronic circuits and work with PCB design software such as (Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent). Requirements (Technical/Personal): Educational Qualification: • Diploma or technical qualification in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). Experience: • At least 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in PCB soldering, rework, and board-level repair. • Automotive electronics or battery-related systems experience is strongly preferred. Tools and Technical Knowledge: • - Hands-on experience and proficiency in SMD and micro-soldering. • - Good knowledge of electronics design fundamentals and troubleshooting (analog and digital circuits, power supplies, basic communication protocols). • - Basic knowledge of PCB design software (Altium Designer, KiCad, or equivalent) to read and understand schematics and layouts. • - Familiarity with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, multimeters, LCR meters, and programmable power supplies. • - Familiarity with asset and inventory management systems (such as Odoo ERP or similar) is an added advantage. Skills and Abilities: • - Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • - Organized approach in handling tools, assets, and inventory management. • - Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams. • - Good documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal. • - Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adhere to deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities. Preferred Additional Factors: • - Experience in fine-pitch BGA/QFN soldering and thermal camera inspection. • - Basic understanding of automotive electronics industry standards (AEC-Q, ISO 26262) and their application.
