Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Pharos University in Alexandria, Egypt. The person in this position will plan, coordinate, and oversee projects across various university departments to ensure that objectives, timelines, and budgets are met. Day-to-day responsibilities include defining project scopes, creating schedules, managing resources, monitoring progress, and preparing regular status reports for stakeholders. The Project Manager will collaborate with academic and administrative teams, manage risks, address issues, and ensure that project deliverables align with the university’s strategic goals and quality standards. This role also involves coordinating with vendors and service providers, optimizing logistics, and supporting continuous improvement of project management processes.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong Project Management skills, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Candidates should possess Expeditor and Expediting skills to monitor orders, track deliverables, and ensure timely completion of project-related activities.
  • Candidates should possess Inspection skills to verify quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to university and regulatory standards.
  • Candidates should possess Logistics Management skills to coordinate materials, resources, and services supporting project implementation.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, management, or a related field; professional project management certifications (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in project management tools and MS Office applications.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in academic or institutional project environments, and familiarity with local regulations in Egypt, is considered beneficial.
