We are looking for a dedicated Environment and Pest Control Specialist to implement and oversee our environmental management, waste management, and pest control programs. The ideal candidate must ensure a safe and healthy work environment, minimize environmental impact, and maintain full compliance with environmental regulations, ISO 14001 standards, and Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements to ensure constant audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Pest Control Management:

• Oversee and implement on-site pest control programs (insects and rodents) in coordination with approved service providers.
• Review pest control method statements and risk assessments, ensuring the use of approved and safe chemicals.
• Conduct routine site inspections to identify and eliminate pest activity.

Waste Management and Safe Disposal:

• Organize waste sorting, collection, and storage processes in accordance with environmental standards.
• Coordinate with approved waste transportation and disposal vendors and follow up on safe disposal certificates.
• Ensure full compliance with Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA) requirements and regulations.

Inspections and Corrective Actions:

• Conduct regular field inspections in storage areas, facilities, and general buildings.
• Report non-conformities and environmental hazards, and collaborate with the OHS team to implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in a timely manner.

Environmental Compliance and ISO 14001:

• Track and enforce applicable local environmental laws and support the timely renewal of environmental permits.
• Identify and evaluate environmental aspects and impacts; monitor environmental measurements (air, noise, emissions).
• Support internal and external ISO 14001 audits and regulatory inspections.

Documentation and Awareness:

• Maintain up-to-date logs and records for pest control, hazardous/non-hazardous waste, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct awareness sessions for employees on hygiene, pest prevention, and eco-friendly practices in the workplace.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Science, Public Health, or a related field.

Experience:

• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Environmental Management, Pest Control, Waste Management, or Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE).

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong knowledge of local environmental laws, regulations, and occupational health and safety principles.
• Strong field inspection capabilities.
• Excellent reporting, documentation, and record-keeping skills.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Training and Certifications

Required / Highly Preferred:

• Training courses in: Environmental Management, Pest Control, Occupational Health and Safety, or Safe Waste Disposal.
• ISO 14001 Awareness / Internal Auditor.

Additional (Optional):

• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor.
• Certified Occupational Health and Safety Specialist/Committee Member (National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health).
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification (General Industry).
• ISO 45001 Awareness.
