Role Description The Event Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Kempinski Palace Cairo in Cairo, Egypt. The position is responsible for selling and managing events across the hotel’s ballroom and meeting spaces, including corporate functions, conferences, and private events. Day-to-day activities include responding to inquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, conducting site inspections, and maintaining relationships with clients and event planners. The role coordinates closely with operations, banquet, culinary, and front office teams to ensure seamless planning, accurate detailing, and flawless execution of events. The Event Sales Manager also monitors revenue targets, forecasts business, participates in sales activities and marketing initiatives, and maintains accurate records in the hotel’s sales and event management systems. Qualifications Strong Event Planning and Event Management skills, with experience handling conferences, banquets, and Private Events. Proven Sales expertise in hospitality or events, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing business. Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external partners. Background in hotel, venue, or catering sales is highly advantageous. Knowledge of event budgeting, revenue management principles, and basic contract terms. Proficiency in event management and CRM software, as well as MS Office applications. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple events and deadlines. Fluency in English is required; additional languages, especially Arabic, are an asset. Relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in a luxury hotel or upscale events environment is a plus.
