Company Description The Egyptian Real Estate Publicity and Notarization Department is a key division within the Ministry of Justice, responsible for managing and recording real estate transactions and related legal documentation. Role Description The Senior Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, responsible for overseeing financial operations and supporting sound fiscal management within the department. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, and monitoring budget execution. The role also involves ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations and public-sector accounting standards, supporting audits, and maintaining accurate financial records and documentation. The Senior Accountant collaborates with internal units to analyze financial data, prepare reports for leadership, and recommend improvements to processes and internal controls. This position may also mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to the development of standardized financial procedures.
Qualifications

Strong accounting and financial reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements. Knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis methods, with the ability to interpret data and present clear financial insights. Familiarity with public-sector or governmental accounting practices, relevant laws, and regulatory requirements related to financial management. Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel, for data management, reporting, and analysis. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a structured environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and present financial information to non-specialists. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, equivalent local certification) is an advantage. Relevant experience in an accounting role, preferably at a senior level or within a governmental or public-sector organization.
