Job Title: Java Backend Developer

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications and services that power our core platforms. This role requires a strong foundation in Java, a passion for reliable software, and the ability to collaborate closely with front-end developers, product managers, and Dev Ops engineers.

Design, develop, test, and deploy robust Java-based backend services and microservices. Implement RESTful APIs and integrate with databases, message queues, and third-party services. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with emphasis on performance and scalability. Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design patterns adoption. Ensure security, reliability, and observability through proper logging, monitoring, and alerting. Collaborate with QA engineers to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases. Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code practices in a cloud environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong proficiency in Java, with solid knowledge of Java 8+ features and best practices. Experience with backend frameworks (Spring Boot, Micronaut, or similar). Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, ORM frameworks, and SQL optimization. Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, and knowledge of API security (OAuth2, JWT). Understanding of asynchronous programming, messaging queues (Kafka, Rabbit MQ), and event-driven architectures. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
