Role Description The Carpet Design Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Giza, responsible for leading the creation and development of carpet designs from concept to production-ready artwork. This role oversees the design pipeline, coordinates with design, production, and sales teams, and ensures that all patterns, colors, and materials align with brand standards and market requirements. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing design briefs, guiding designers, approving samples, analyzing market trends, and translating customer insights into commercially viable collections. The manager monitors timelines and quality, collaborates with technical teams to optimize designs for manufacturing, and prepares presentations and documentation to support internal stakeholders and clients. This position also involves mentoring team members, maintaining organized design libraries, and recommending continuous improvements to design processes.
Qualifications

Strong background in textile or carpet design, including pattern development, color theory, and material selection. Experience in design project management, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and oversee multiple design collections simultaneously. Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or specialized textile CAD tools) and digital file management. Knowledge of manufacturing processes for carpets and rugs, and the ability to adapt designs to production constraints and quality standards. Market awareness and commercial mindset, with skills in trend analysis, product positioning, and customer-focused design. Solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with design, production, sales, and leadership teams. Ability to lead and develop a design team, provide constructive feedback, and foster a creative, inclusive work environment. Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Industrial Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal education. Previous experience in carpet, textile, or home décor industries is highly beneficial. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
