Responsibilities:
Enforce Quality Compliance: Monitor shop floor operations across Body, Paint, and General Assembly to ensure strict adherence to Standardized Work Instructions, process sheets, and quality control plans. Drive Built-In Quality (BIQ): Manage station-level quality gates, run Layered Process Audits (LPAs), and verify the operational integrity of error-proofing devices (Poka-Yokes) to stop defects at the source. Lead Root Cause Analysis: Spearhead structured problem-solving initiatives (using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams) for internal scrap, line defects, or assembly reworks to prevent recurrence. Monitor CKD Kit & Part Quality: Partner with Incoming Quality Control (IQC) to evaluate imported and localized CKD parts, tracking dimensional fitment, assembly challenges, and supplier performance anomalies. Oversee Dimensional & Metrology Control: Review Body-in-White (BIW) geometry, CMM measurement trends, gap-and-flush tolerances, and torque-tightening data logs. Manage Quality Holds & Non-Conformances: Isolate suspect material or vehicles immediately, lead Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions, and oversee containment actions. Improve Quality Metrics: Track, analyze, and report critical plant metrics including First Time Quality (FTQ), Direct Run Rate (DRR%), scrap rates, CVA (Customer Vehicle Audit) and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
