Job Details

  • Receive, document, and follow up on farmers' complaints, concerns, and grievances until resolution.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with contracted sugar beet farmers.

  • Conduct regular field visits to engage with farmers, understand their concerns, and provide ongoing support.

  • Promote awareness of Nile Sugar's supplier requirements, sustainability commitments, and responsible farming practices.

  • Monitor farmers' compliance with the Company's social, ethical, and environmental standards, and identify areas requiring improvement.

  • Support the implementation of supplier engagement and sustainability initiatives across the agricultural supply chain.

  • Facilitate communication between farmers and relevant Nile Sugar departments to ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Organize farmer meetings, awareness sessions, and training programs to strengthen engagement and improve compliance.

  • Maintain accurate records of stakeholder interactions, field observations, and engagement activities, and prepare periodic reports.

  • Identify vulnerable or at-risk farmers who may require additional support and recommend appropriate actions.

  • Assist the Agricultural Department in evaluating supplier performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure all stakeholder engagement activities are conducted in accordance with Nile Sugar's policies and applicable IFC Performance Standards.

  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on field visits, stakeholder engagement activities, farmer feedback, grievances, compliance status, and improvement initiatives, including recommendations for corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering

  • 10 Years of Experience in Similar field.

  • Experience in agriculture, farmer relations, community engagement, sustainability, or supplier management is preferred.
