We are looking for a Head of Underwriting to join our team and lead our underwriting function across Property & Casualty (P&C) and Health Insurance portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:Lead underwriting activities for new and renewal business across P&C and Health Insurance. Evaluate risks and determine appropriate coverage, pricing, terms, and conditions. Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios, and underwriting profitability. Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, partners, and clients. Support product development and underwriting strategy. Collaborate with Claims, Actuarial, and Sales teams to drive business success. Mentor and develop the underwriting team.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.10+ years of underwriting experience in both Property & Casualty (P&C) and Health Insurance. Strong expertise in risk assessment, underwriting, pricing, and policy wording. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of local insurance regulations and market practices. Professional certifications such as ACII, CPCU, or equivalent are an advantage. Fluency in English and Arabic.
