Job Purpose Support company management by developing, implementing, and continuously improving Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) standards to achieve business objectives while promoting a Zero Accident mindset and a strong safety culture. Ensure that all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental procedures, policies, and activities comply with Egyptian regulations and international standards through the development and maintenance of effective management systems, including firefighting systems, site security, emergency preparedness, HVAC safety, and environmental compliance.
Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Experience Minimum 10 years of overall experience. At least 5 years of experience in a managerial HSSE role within the FMCG or Manufacturing industry. Technical Knowledge Strong knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation. Understanding of industrial processes and occupational hazards. Knowledge of environmental protection and sustainability practices. Excellent command of English. Strong knowledge of:ISO 45001 / OHSAS 18001ISO 14001ISO 50001FSSC 22000Fire Protection Systems HVAC Systems Boilers & Generators Ergonomics Utilities Project Management Egyptian Safety & Environmental Regulations Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
Main Accountabilities Lead the continuous improvement of HSSE performance across all operations in collaboration with regional leadership and employees to promote a safe, secure, productive, sustainable, and environmentally responsible workplace. Ensure best-practice Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Energy Management systems are implemented while coaching and supporting plant teams in executing HSSE initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. Develop a long-term (3–5 years) HSSE strategic plan aligned with annual operational objectives. Liaise with governmental authorities and regulatory agencies to ensure ongoing compliance with all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental requirements. Manage company premises by implementing and continuously improving safety and security management systems, ensuring employee wellbeing, and promoting a strong safety culture across all company locations. Provide technical guidance and expert advice to management regarding HSSE matters to support informed business decisions while maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
Health, Safety & Security Responsibilities Develop and implement the company's Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental strategy to support operational excellence and sustainability objectives. Lead all HSSE activities across the manufacturing site while ensuring compliance with corporate standards, local legislation, and international regulations. Develop and implement HSSE policies, procedures, campaigns, and awareness programs that promote safe behaviors and eliminate workplace hazards. Lead continuous improvements to the HSSE Management System and coordinate internal audits while ensuring effective implementation of corrective actions. Analyze accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify trends, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures. Conduct daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual safety inspections and ensure timely closure of corrective actions. Maintain all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental records, including accident reports, inspections, corrective actions, permits, and training documentation. Prepare all required reports for senior management, corporate functions, and regulatory authorities. Monitor inspection schedules for firefighting equipment and ensure corrective maintenance is completed. Lead Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE assessments, risk assessments, compliance evaluations, and workplace inspections. Develop and deliver safety, security, and environmental training programs while ensuring employee certifications remain current. Develop, maintain, and regularly test emergency response and evacuation plans. Ensure adequate protection against unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and damage to company assets. Prepare, manage, and monitor the annual HSSE budget while driving hazard elimination initiatives. Organize and lead regular Safety Committee meetings, toolbox talks, and HSSE review meetings. Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams to integrate HSSE requirements into capital projects and contractor management activities. Promote continuous cost-saving initiatives while maintaining compliance with safety standards. Identify critical operational areas and establish appropriate security levels. Implement suitable security control measures based on risk assessments. Prevent unauthorized entry by employees, contractors, suppliers, or visitors. Ensure appropriate controls are implemented to prevent altered or hazardous products from entering company facilities.
