Team members join a company committed to excellence in design, production, and customer satisfaction. Role Description The Design Manager – Carpet is a full-time, on-site role based in El Sadat City. This position oversees the entire carpet design process, from concept development to final production, ensuring collections align with brand identity, market trends, and customer needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading the design team, reviewing and refining patterns, colors, and materials, and coordinating closely with production to confirm feasibility and quality standards. The Design Manager will develop seasonal design plans, maintain a design library, and collaborate with sales and marketing to support product presentations and client requests. The role also involves setting design guidelines, mentoring designers, and ensuring timely delivery of design projects within budget. Qualifications Proven experience in carpet, textile, or rug design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating pattern development, color usage, and material selection. Experience managing design teams, including task allocation, performance feedback, and design process optimization. Strong collaboration skills with production, sales, and marketing teams to align design concepts with manufacturing capabilities and market demands. Ability to research global design trends, customer preferences, and competitive products, and translate findings into commercially viable designs. Proficiency with design tools and software commonly used in textile and carpet design (e.g., CAD or graphic design applications). Attention to detail, strong visual and aesthetic sense, and ability to maintain consistent quality across multiple collections. Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in textile design, industrial design, fine arts, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with carpet production processes is an advantage.
