About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Technical Shop Drawing Engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and coordinating detailed shop drawings across multiple projects, ensuring they align with design concepts, operational requirements, and project timelines. This role is essential in transforming creative designs into accurate technical documentation that supports efficient project execution and successful delivery.
Responsibilities:
Generate highly accurate and comprehensive technical shop drawings and construction documentation in accordance with project requirements, design specifications, and industry standards.
Manage multiple projects concurrently, adhering to project timelines and delivery schedules.
Interpret and analyse architectural and structural engineering drawings to identify potential issues and ensure design intent is met.
Produce detailed layout, ceiling, flooring, joinery, furniture, signage, and coordination drawings.
Ensure all shop drawings comply with company standards, local regulations, and project requirements. Maintain organised records of drawing revisions, approvals, and project documentation.
Recommend appropriate materials and suppliers for the proposed design.
Requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in shop drawing preparation.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, including Xrefs (external references), layer management, and drawing coordination.
Good understanding of architectural detailing, construction methods, materials, and fit-out processes.
Excellent technical drawing, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proven problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Good level of English fluency, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
