Purpose of the job
To secure the branch from personnel, facilities, information, and communications, protect it from vandalism or economic damage, and ensure the application of security and safety requirements within the branch.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in preparing operational programs and policies and monitor their implementation.
- Oversee security work and protection of facilities and premises.
- Ensure the confidentiality of information and documents and secure their handling and disposal according to approved procedures.
- Monitor access control systems, surveillance cameras, and safety alarms.
- Secure communication means (wired, wireless, and postal).
- Monitor industrial security activities inside the branch’s laboratory buildings.
- Promote security awareness among employees.
- Prepare periodic reports and monitor work progress.
- Perform any other tasks related to the nature of the job.
Skills and competencies required
- Sufficient knowledge of at least one foreign language.
- Proficient in computer use.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and procedures governing the work.
- Decision-making ability.
- Communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to solve problems and manage crises.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to supervise, motivate, and lead teams.
Required experience
- A break in service of at least one year in a position at the immediate lower job level (First “B”) for employees of the administrative apparatus, or total experience not less than 16 years outside the administrative apparatus in a field aligned with the job’s nature.
