Giza Spinning & Weaving is Hiring: Senior Knit Pattern Maker (Gerber CAD) Position Overview: Giza Spinning and Weaving is seeking a highly skilled Senior Knit Pattern Maker with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience specializing in knitwear production. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the Gerber Accu Mark system, responsible for converting design concepts and tech packs into production-ready digital patterns, ensuring precise fit, and maximizing marker efficiency for bulk manufacturing. Key Responsibilities:Pattern Development: Create precise, production-ready digital patterns from design sketches, tech packs, and physical samples using Gerber Accu Mark. Knit Optimization: Analyze fabric specifications (stretch factors, shrinkage, recovery, and weight) to calculate exact seam allowances and dimensional adjustments specific to knit fabrics (e.g., jersey, rib, fleece). Grading & Specifications: Establish and apply consistent grading rules across full size ranges, ensuring proportional fit balance. Marker Making: Develop highly efficient marker layouts to optimize fabric utilization and minimize cutting room waste. Sample & Fit Reviews: Partner closely with Quality Assurance and Garment Technologists to review 3D/physical fit samples, executing rapid pattern revisions based on fit comments. Required Qualifications:Experience: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on pattern-making experience explicitly within an apparel manufacturing or export environment. Technical Expertise: Proven mastery of the Gerber Accu Mark system (Digitizing, Pattern Design, Grading, and Easy Marking). Specialization: Deep technical understanding of knit garment construction, stitch types (overlock, flatlock), and knit fabric behavior.
