El Salam for Contracting and General Supplying is seeking to hire:
-Senior Fleet Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
-Job Description:
-Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and downtime.-Direct and supervise workshop technical staff, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and high-quality repair standards-Coordinate with spare parts and procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of critical components.-Analyze fleet performance, manage vehicle repairs, and ensure assets are operational and compliant with regulations.-Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and fleet performance reports.-Conduct complex troubleshooting, perform diagnostic analysis, and schedule regular inspections (tire, brake, fluid checks).-Supervise and mentor junior technicians and mechanics, ensuring proper maintenance standards are followed.-Ensure compliance with safety and quality procedures during all maintenance activities.-Provide 24/7 technical support for emergency breakdowns and participate in daily Fleet inspections.-Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Fleet uptime and reduce maintenance costs.-Diagnoses, repairs, and services commercial vehicles (semi-trucks, buses) to ensure safety and performance.-Perform routine maintenance, including lubrication, oil changes, coolant checks, and tune-ups to avoid unexpected breakdowns.-Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair histories, and documentation of parts used.
-Qualifications & Skills:
-Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.-Minimum 5–7 years’ hands-on experience in Fleet Maintenance.-Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and powertrain systems.-Excellent leadership, troubleshooting, and communication skills.-Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to urgent mechanical issues.-Must be willing to reside at the worksite and be available for extended working hours as required.
