Job Summary

• The Paint Specialist is responsible for preparing, applying, and finishing automotive paint coatings according to manufacturer standards, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction. The role supports the body shop and service teams by maintaining consistent paint application, color matching, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.

Candidate Profile

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming

• Mix, match, and apply paint coatings according to manufacturer specifications

• Ensure proper use of spray guns, paint booths, and related equipment

• Inspect painted surfaces for quality, color consistency, and defects

• Follow health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times

• Maintain inventory of paint materials and report shortages or issues

• Collaborate with service and body shop teams to meet repair timelines

• Perform finishing tasks, including polishing and detailing, to ensure a high-quality finish

• Keep accurate records of paint jobs and material usage

• Stay updated on new paint techniques, products, and automotive coatings

Qualification

Education

• Diploma or certificate in Automotive Painting, Vehicle Refinishing, or a related technical field

Experience

• 2 5 years of experience in automotive painting or refinishing

• Experience in premium or OEM-authorized workshops is an advantage

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of automotive paint types, color matching, and application techniques

• Familiarity with spray equipment, paint booths, and safety procedures

• Understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques

• Attention to detail and quality control skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Good communication and teamwork skills
