Roles & Responsibilities
Elegancia Steel is seeking a highly experienced Senior QA/QC Engineer to lead quality assurance and quality control activities across our steel fabrication and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with project specifications, international quality standards, client requirements, and company quality procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all QA/QC activities related to steel fabrication, structural steel erection, and construction works.
Ensure compliance with approved Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, project specifications, and quality procedures.
Review and manage quality documentation including material certificates, inspection reports, calibration records, NCRs, test reports, and quality logs.
Coordinate internal inspections and consultant/client inspections to ensure successful first-time approvals.
Monitor fabrication and installation activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings and project requirements.
Conduct quality audits, toolbox talks, and method statement briefings for site personnel and subcontractors.
Verify incoming materials, mill certificates, and testing records prior to fabrication and installation.
Track quality KPIs, inspection status, NCRs, corrective actions, and close-out activities.
Ensure all quality records are maintained and readily available for client, consultant, and regulatory review.
Support project handover activities through snagging, punch listing, and quality close-out documentation.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or related discipline).
Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience within construction, steel fabrication, structural steel, or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ASTM, BS, EN, AISC, AWS, and other relevant international standards.
Hands-on experience with inspections, welding quality control, steel fabrication processes, material traceability, and quality documentation.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality reporting systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in large-scale steel fabrication plants, industrial facilities, or EPC projects.
Internal Auditor certification (ISO 9001) is an advantage.
Experience working with multinational contractors and consultants.
