Job Purpose:
Responsible for enhancing top management visibility, supporting strategic and operational decision-making across the university and EdTech platform by providing accurate financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. This is achieved through presenting regular financial position reports, assuming control on budget and internal financial processes, and bridging academic planning, digital education initiatives, and financial sustainability, to align resources with strategic priorities.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Financial Analysis:
- Develops rolling forecasts for: Tuition revenue (on campus & online) , Grants, partnerships, and executive education
- Tracks, analyzes, and reports variances between budget, forecast, and actuals, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Provides cost-per-student, cost-per-credit hour, and program profitability analysis.
- Owns and coordinates all aspects of annual budget plan and monthly forecasts.
- Reviews the University/company's financial statements to ensure their accuracy & completeness.
Performance Reporting & Dashboards:
- Prepares monthly and quarterly closing reports for senior leadership, including P&L, Balance sheet, and Cash flow statements post the end of every month and quarter.
- Provides accurate on-demand financial reports as per management’s request
- Tracks and reports KPIs such as: # Enrollment vs. # revenue , % Faculty cost efficiency, % Digital program margin, and % Platform and content development ROI
- Builds and continuously feeds dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
Strategic & Decision Support:
- Supports leadership decisions with scenario modelling (e.g., new program launch, pricing changes, enrollment fluctuations).
- Evaluates financial impact of: New academic programs, Technology investments, and Partnerships with EdTech providers.
- Provides financial input for business cases and investment proposals.
Governance & Controls:
- Ensures budgeting and forecasting processes comply with: Internal policies, Approved financial frameworks, and guidelines of Board and management
- Supports audits and financial reviews related to planning and performance.
- Recommends changes in policies and/or procedures contributing in the improvement of the overall financial function performance.
- Avoids receiving and audit or management letters and handles any related points in case of such incident.
- Ensures compliance to all financial policies, processes, and SOPs.
- Takes the initiative in suggesting improvements in financial processes & procedures especially in ones improving savings.
